Road Trip

We took a bus to see the Blizzard(arena football) play in Milwaukee. All four of us went and it was a nice family trip. Pete did not have to worry about driving(and me yelling) parking, etc. We left Green Bay around four and got back around 12:30. We won which made it a lot more fun. Breanna talks like her dad during a game giving me a play by play. Sitting between the two of them I would get "Holding!" in stereo.

We are watching a neighbors house and they let us use their pool. We have gone twice and it is so nice...feels like we are on vacation or something. We are sunburned a little today and it looks like it will be cool or rain the rest of the week so we probably won't go again but it was fun while it lasted.

Good week...I went walking every day. Pete works a four 10 hour day for the summer and has Fridays off. Only he is so tired from working ten hour days he sleeps the rest of the weekend to catch up!

Today we take the kids to mom's for a school's out celebration. Pete may go to the doctor because his cough will not go away. We may go to Neenah sometime this weekend.

We may also do a cardboard run today. Next week we get the new recycle bin for streamlining recycables. I'm excited because the bin is much larger, we can put everything in one bin and it will cut down on our cardboard runs. Boy, my life is exciting.

Kids are doing well. Luke is enjoying being back in martial arts. We got Bree's report card...I dunno....all A's....what is with these kids today getting all A's? We're going to have to put our foot down with her.

School's Out!

Bree and I took the dog for a walk which made the four miles seem to go by really fast. We went to get Luke after his last day of school. He did really well on his report card. So proud of him...we are waiting for Bree's report card. Proud of her too!

Pete is back to work after two days of being sick. We all have it but he always seems to get it the worse.

The President was in town today. I seem to be the only one in the family who was excited the President of the United States was in our little town. That does not happen every day.

The family room

Is it legal to ban your family from the 'family' room? I ask because I spent the whole morning cleaning it...since I cleaned it I should be the only one allowed to use it, right?

TGIF!

It has been a good week. I went walking every day except today but the day is not over yet. Yesterday I had a meeting and my brother dropped me off at Pete's work so he would not have to bring me all the way home and it was close to Pete's quitting time. I got to spend an hour at the office with him. His office was a lot cleaner than I thought it would be. I decided he needed a painting on his wall so will work on one for him. He does not like abstract art so I will have to paint something that actually looks like something. I reminded him an abstract piece would be a good conversation piece so we will see what happens. It would not surprise me if it ends up in the dumpster. (Not even sure work will allow it).

Luke has a cold so stayed home from school today. His last day of school is next Thursday and Bree's is Wednesday.

Pete bought a WiiFit...the only problem is we have to clean the basement to set it up so guess what we are doing this weekend?
