Lori's Minute

Sunday, October 08, 2006

Today in the paper I read about the funeral of the man who shot and killed the Amish girls and then turned the gun on himself. Half of the people who showed up for his funeral were Amish. I really think and hope people all over the world who have read or heard about this will learn a valuable lesson about forgiveness. I know I did.

Family Update: Hubby and daughter are at the Packer game. THey took a friend of my daughter and her dad who also happens to like football so I think the guys will have a good time being with someone who enjoys the game and the girls will have fun just being together and watching the crowds.

Yesterday we saw the in-laws for a bit. THey seemed to be giddy with excitement over the move and their car...it was nice to see.

The five year old came home Friday with a pumpkin and a bag a apples he picked when his class went to the apple orchard (he said they had to 'twist and pluck' five apples and then get one more to eat right then.) As soon as we got home from school we carved out the pumpkin which took about five minutes because it was the size of a large orange. It turned out cute and we took a picture which I hope to post tonight or tomorrow.

Bye for now!

Wow! Imagine teaching kids that produce comes from farms and not grocery stores. What will they think of next?

We are waiting for you to see your new look. Yes Dr John likes the new car very much. The daughter didn't notice at first it was new because we drove a car before looking just like the new only it was shorter.
Like your sons pumpkin. It was a great day to put back up the christmas lights.
