Overheard at school

Today I was helping out at my son's school. A lot of the kids see me with my cane and dark glasses. I was signing in at the office and getting my volunteer badge and there was another mom and some fifth grade girls there.

Later the other mom told me she overheard the two girls talking about me and how hard it must be. "Yeah," said one, "Can you imagine how hard it must be to go shopping???!!!!"

Mother's Day

I had a really nice Mother's Day, We started a new tradition where hubby and the kids went to get Krispy Kreme donuts...I ate THREE. Later we went to the store to het my mom a gift before stopping at her house. While we were at her house, we played two games of Clue, my all time favorite game as a kid. I probably have not played it in twenty years and it was so much fun. I won one game, mom won the other, appropriate for Mother's Day!

On the way home, we stopped for ice cream, more junk food but it was soooooo good!

Family Update: My son broke his fibula when his sister stepped on him. He is already running around on it but they say it will take five to six weeks to heal. (The fibula is the skinnier of two bones in the lower leg).

As you can tell, I have not been posting a lot lately mostly because of my computer but I have been enjoying reading everyone else's posts and will try to comment when I can.
